Mackems Are Champions

Sunderland were crowned Championship Champions today after a 5-0 win at Luton Town. Birmingham finished second after losing 1-0 at Preston who missed out on the play-offs.

Derby finished third after beating bottom side Leeds 2-0 whilst West Brom took fourth place with a 7-0 thrashing of Barnsley. Wolves won 4-1 at Leicester to finish fifth with Southampton who beat Southend 4-0 getting the last play-off spot.

QPR drew with Stoke and there were wins for Plymouth,Palace,Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich.

Coventry City finished the season in seventeenth place.
