In the FA Cup,Nuneaton Borough earned a replay against Premiership Middlesbrough with a 1-1 draw at Manor Park. Mendieta gave the North East side a first half lead but in the last minute of the second half,Gez Murphy converted a penalty to earn Nuneaton a trip to The Riverside Stadium on January 17th.

Elsewhere,the main shock saw Colchester United, who can list the Sky Blues amongst their list of scalps,win 2-1 at Sheffield United. Tamowrth drew 0-0 at Stoke City,Millwall drew 1-1 against Everton,Torquay drew 0-0 against Birmingham City.
Locally, Rugby Town were beaten 3-0 at Evesham United who are managed by David Busst. Bedworth put in a good performance to win 3-1 at Marlow. I

n the Midland Alliance, Leamington drew 0-0 with Boldmere St Michaels, Racing Club Warwick won 2-1 at Barwell and Stratford Town beat Rocester 2-0.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, leaders Atherstone Town won 7-1 at Highgate United but second place Coventry Sphinx were beaten 3-4 at home by bogey side Bolehall Swifts.

Coventry Copsewood's game against Brocton was postponed but Massey Ferguson eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 home victory against Castle Vale. Alveston beat Pershore Town 5-2 whilst Southam United won 2-1 at Cadbury Athletic.

Stockingford beat Handsworth United 3-2 but Kenilworth and Leamington Hibernian's games were postponed. Warwick Town drew 4-4 at home to Himley Athletic and Coventry Sphinx Reserves won 5-1 at Wellesbourne.
