Micky Adams does not expect to be too busy whilst the transfer window is open. Restricted by a lack of cash from the club's acting Chairman,Adams is only expected to try to extend the loan of Marton Fulop and to speak to Don Hutchison.

Said the City boss to the CET: "I am not expecting any transfer activity. "We have had a couple of inquiries about a couple of our players but nothing that is worth talking about, I have got to be honest. Simply, 'Are they for sale?', 'No'.
Adams who ran the rule over the club's younger players in the reserve game at Portsmouth, may benefit from a scheme being set up by new MD Paul Fletcher. The scheme will see Arena sponsors Ricoh pay for players to be flown in so City can take a look at them.

The City boss said: "Nobody will enter the football club unless I say so. "But if there are players out there that will improve the squad then I am more than happy to listen and to entertain the thought of getting players over.

"I would be daft not to, so that's fantastic, and it would be even better if I could go out there and scout them!

"If that's a window of opportunity then I am all for that because there are some good Americans out there and there are definitely some good Japanese players out there now.

"It would also raise the profile of the football club as well in those areas and anything that does that can only benefit the club in the long run."
