Striker Leon McKenzie feels that he should have a regular first team start. Said the fomer Norwich forward who scored against Hull on Saturday to the CT: "I don't feel I have got anything to prove.

"No disrespect to any of the other strikers but I want to be playing. "I respected the gaffer's decision to leave me out against Southampton and I didn't put my head down and sulk.

"I went on and tried to give me my best when he put me on on the left, but I tried to show the spirit and determination that I have got, and it was nice to get the opportunity to play up front again, and obviously get the goal.

"Gaffers have to make decisions but I don't see Saturday's game at Colchester as one game left to impress. "He will make up his mind who his best players are.

"I am not one to say I am the best player and should be playing, it is down to the gaffer but hopefully we will see that I am one of the best players."
