Lennon Goes But Pressley Drops In Celtic Manager Betting

The concerns amongst some City supporters that Coventry City manager Steven Pressley could be an outsider for the Celtic manager's job, look to be unfounded if bookmaker odds are anything to go by.

Neil Lennon resigned after four years at Parkhead following a meeting with Celtic's major shareholder Dermot Desmond in Dublin on Monday afternoon, amid rumours that he was bored of the Scottish League which no longer presents a challenge.

Malky McKay would be a natural successor but he is widely tipped to become the next manager of Norwich City and Celtic could look at Pressley, a former player, who has proved that he can work under pressure on tight budgets.

However, the odds being given by the bookmakers seem to indicate that the Sky Blues will be keeping their manager.

Pressley has gone out to 25/1 from 22/1 with Bet Victor and is 16/1 with William Hill and 33/1 with Ladbrokes who are amongst those who have former Celtic striker and club legend Henrik Larsson as the odds on favourite.
