Kevin Kyle has been found guilty on two charges of breach of the peace. The Striker was arrested last October in Stranraer for fighting and swearing. The case has been adjourned by Stranraer Sheriff Court until April 3rd for background reports.

As this is not his first offence, Kyle could face a spell in prison and face the sack from the Sky Blues.

Kyle's defence claimed that the arrest was part of a revenge mission by a police officer who had a relationship with his cousin. However,Sheriff Smith said: "My view of the reliability of that evidence is totally coloured by the amount of alcohol that they had to drink and by the somewhat preposterous notion that this was some police revenge plot to arrest Kyle for doing nothing. "I regard the defence witnesses and the accused as both unreliable and incredible."

Kyle who lives in Nuneaton said: "I am absolutely devasted about this. I am really upset - I don't know what to do about it."
