Coventry Copsewood Joint Manager Kev Kingham was delighted with his side's 2-1 win over Whitnash Town in the Coventry Telegraph Cup Final at the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday night.

Kingham said to Covsupport News Service: "Thought we went into the game as under-dogs but felt that we dominated the game.

"We had watched them and seen their threats but knew after the Semi-Final performance against them in the Coventry Charity Cup that we needed to be up for it and we were.

"There were some hard choices for Dicko and myself to select a squad of sixteen let alone a starting eleven.

"We've had ten league games in twenty four days and I think it was so our form had dipped as lads were tired but we had a game plan and the lads trained well on Monday night  and prepared well for the game and did the club proud.

"We are both over the moon with the result which showed that it is about the squad not just the eleven starting players as it was the substitutes who came on and changed our play to the plan and it worked great.

"There are some good players at Copsewood within both our teams - so, as a club lifting the Bedworth Nursing Cup and the Coventry Telegraph Cup is brilliant as well as the success of our Ladies team and the junior section is brilliant."
