Kev To Miss Out

Kevin Thornton could miss the rest of the season with an ankle ligament injury which he sustained during the away defeat at Sunderland.

Kevin is quite badly injured at the moment," said Adrian Heath to the CT.

"When all the swelling went down and we X-rayed him it was a bit worse than we thought, so he might be struggling for the rest of the season. "By the time he gets himself ready to play it will take him a while to get fit.

"We will keep our fingers crossed but certainly, in the forthcoming games, he is going to be struggling. "It is a shame for the boy because we all know he has got talent and he has been working hard away from football as well, looking after himself, and he got his rewards in the team.

"But what he has to do now is remember what got him in the team."

Defender Elliott Ward should be back for the trip to Leicester on Saturday. He has been out since the turn of the year with a hamstring injury.
