Kelman's CrowdBoarding Scheme Put On A Back Burner

A scheme to raise £3m to pay rent for Coventry City to play at the Ricoh Arena has been put onto a back burner.

The 'crowdboarding' scheme launched by Dallas based Martin Kelman has been massively snubbed by City supporters and has been put onto a back burner.

Mr Kelman told the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert:  “I am absolutely delighted in the complete lack of response to the fan based season ticket CrowdBoard that we put together.

“This clearly shows Sisu that not one penny more really means not one penny more regardless of an exciting and cost effective opportunity to return to the Ricoh quietly under their leadership.

“This should also give one final indication of the determination and defiance to Sisu rule and that enough is really enough and ultimately the Sky Blue faithful will never under any circumstances return to the Ricoh, a new stadium or even Wembley while they are at the helm.

“So in the best interests of the club, the city and even themselves, I would urge them to now set a realistic price for the club ownership, so that we or others can then move forward in the proposed takeover of CCFC and they can at least cut their losses and return quietly to superior asset management in other industries outside of football.”
