Coventry City have set the new attendance record for a Johnstones Paint Trophy match outside of the final.

Southampton held the record for their match against MK Dons in 2010 which attracted a gate of 29,901.

However, City, who announce their attendance figures based on the number of tickets sold, rather than the people actually coming through the turnstiles, have so far sold 30,416 for the First Leg against Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night.

Everyone going to the game is advised to get to the Ricoh Arena early and City supporters are asked to wear sky blue or bring a scarf.
