Former Coventry City players Claus Jorgensen, Gavin O'Toole, Ray Woods, Micky Gynn and Dave Bennett are just some of the confirmed names who feature in the game against a Coventry Sphinx Old Boys team on Friday night.

The game is  in aid of Coventry Cyrenians, a homeless Charity currently celebrating 40 years of tackling homelessness and facing growing challenges, especially locally, in this period of economic austerity.

The game between the (augmented) former Sky Blues and  a combined Sphinx/ Cyrenians Select side will take place at the ground of Coventry Sphinx F.C. at Siddeley Avenue Stoke on the evening of  Friday March 1st 2013. Kick -off is at 7.30 pm and admission will be £5.

Since the game takes place on the evening before CCFPA’s own Legends Day 2013 reunion at the Sky Blues’ home game against table toppers Swindon Town on March 2nd, when around fifty CCFC stars of the past are due to return to the Ricoh, Dave Busst and the other organisers of the Charity match have invited any Sky Blue Former Players planning to stay overnight before the big Day to join them and the supporters at the game (and in the bar afterwards)!
