Coventry City defender Annabel Johnson has admitted her delight at the Sky Blues 4-0 victory over Portsmouth which keeps Craig Nicholls side pushing to win the WPL Southern League title.
Johnson who scored in the win, told Matty Roper: "We were superb today and in my opinion that was the best footballing performance of the season from us. We battled hard defensively and dug in when needed in what treacherous conditions, and we attacked with real pace and prowess."
"I am obviously delighted with the result which is a vital one for us, putting us in a great league position. Scoring was also a nice feeling for me, being my first league goal of the season, it was made even more special due to the fact we got the win we needed."
