Shaun Jeffers who is on loan from Coventry City to Cheltenham Town until January, started for the Robins in their home game against Stevenage and set up the only goal of the game.

In the 75th minute, Jeffers was the provider of a cross for Wes Thomas to score the only goal of the game and before Jeffers left to good applause from the Whaddon Road faithful in the 89th minute, he had set up another chance which was struck against the bar by Thomas.

Jermaine Grandison played the whole of Tranmere Rovers' 3-1 defeat at Yeovil Town.

Leon McKenzie made his debut for Northampton and played for 69 minutes of a 2-1 home win against Southend United.
