Coventry City midfielder Sammy Clingan has said that he is glad that Lukas Jutkiewicz will not be playing against the Sky Blues tomorrow for Middlesbrough.

With the clause about Jutkiewicz not being able to play against City not inserted into the deal which will see City getting around £1m for the forward, Andy Thorn spoke to Tony Mowbray about him not playing and a ‘Gentleman’s Agreement’ was struck.

“We all got on well with Juke and he did really well for Coventry, scoring the majority of goals for us this season,” said Clingan to the CT.

“But he’s gone now and we have to get on with it.

"We have Alex Nimely coming in on loan and I don’t know much about him but I am sure Thorny will have looked at him and hopefully he will come in and add goals for us.

“It’s good that Lukas can’t play because you don’t want strikers coming back and scoring against you.

“Middlesbrough have done well this season so it will be another tough game at the Ricoh but I feel we are going in the right direction.

"The fans have been brilliant all season and I am sure they will get right behind us and that we can start repaying them.”
