I'll Travel To The End Of The Earth For Coventry City - Hoffman

Gary Hoffman has said that he will travel to the end of the earth for Coventry City and that a formal bid will be made for the Sky Blues by the end of today.

Mr Hoffman, Joe Elliott and some of the people they wanted to introduce to the club were at the meeting in Burton On Trent on Friday with Ken Dulieu and Paul Clouting.

Mr Dulieu, who like Mr Clouting is, Covsupport News Service understands, having some City supporters doing some due dilligence on their business and time in the game of their own, said on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire radio on Saturday after a game where City supporters vented their feelings against the current owners with the threat of more raising objections to SISU events to come, had maintained what was in the club statement issued on Friday that nothing had come of the meeting.

Speaking to the CT, Mr Hoffman said: "By the close of business on Monday, there will be a formal offer with SISU and the Chairman that committs us to significant investment on and off the field and, of course, the right to have a discussion with Arena Coventry Limited about acquiring fifty per cent of the stadium, although we recognise that is a separate conversation.

"They must take it seriously because it is a serious offer. If they turn it down we don't want to go on forever. If they do maybe we will have a short period of negotiation.

"I am told that Ken Dulieu said on the radio that he had travelled all the way from Portugal for a meeting in Burton On Trent that did not take them any further than they were in March.

"Well,. I'm willing to travel to the end of the earth to make sure things go right for Coventry City."
