Wigan Athletic could be playing City next season after slipping into the bottom three of the Premiership following a 1-0 home defeat by Middlesbrough. West Ham who could still have points deducted if a legal case is pressed, beat Bolton 3-1 and Fulham beat Liverpool 1-0.

One side City will face next season is Bristol City who won automatic promotion along with Scunthorpe after a 3-1 home win over Rotherham United. Former Sky Blue Andy Morrell scored four goals for Blackpool in a 6-3 win at Swansea which gave the Seasiders a play-off place. Nottingham Forest,Oldham and Yeovil Town will also contest the League One play-offs.

Locally, Coventry Copsewood drew 1-1 at Brocton, Nuneaton Griff lost 2-0 at Cadbury Athletic and Southam United beat Coleshill Town 2-0. In League One, Ettington lost 3-0 at home to West Midlands Police with Leamington Hibernian drawing 1-1 with Thimblemill Rec.
