Coventry City Chaiman Ken Dulieu has said to supporters hoping that the Sky Blues will bring in a player to boost an already under-manned squad, that if they want a player they will have to pay for it themselves.

Speaking to a concerned supporter who had organised an on-line petition which had received over three hundred signatures by phone on Friday night, Mr Dulieu is reported to have said:"If the fans want a player, you will have to put your hands in your pockets to pay for them because the club has no money."

City Director Leonard Brody has already saId the same thing to other supporters.
