I Won't Deal With Agents - Thorn

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he refuses to deal with player agents.

This comes after he baulked at Nathan Cameron for wanting to use his agent in order to help him through the maze that is signing a new deal.

With Thorn refusing to deal with Cameron's agent, the defender, who it is understood, has always been keen to sign a new deal, was left with little choice but to sign the two year deal himself.

Speaking to the CT, Thorn said: “I am really pleased that Nathan has seen sense.

“I am not going to be dictated to by an agent and I made that clear to Nathan who came in to see me of his own accord and signed.

“We stood our ground and told Nathan we wouldn’t deal with his agent.

"We are not signing the agent, we are signing the player.

"I explained to Nathan that if he wanted to go down that route then the deal wouldn’t happen.

“We are not going to fork out for agents.

"We gave him the option to sign or not and, to be fair to Nathan, he came in and signed.”
