Coventry City skipper Stephen Hughes told reporters after the defeat by Hull City:"We had a meeting among the players and a number of things were said.

"We spoke about a number of things, not least the fact that we need to be more clinical in front of goal.

"We got the ball wide and put some quality balls into the box but we just weren't good enough. "We had a spell of 20 minutes in the first half when we didn't cope with Hull well enough, but there is a very fine line between success and failure and we feel we could easily have won the game.

"It was a good game for us to win. No disrespect to Hull, but these are the games we should be winning, especially at home. What we have to do now is keep believing in ourselves and hope that the wins will come."
