Huckerby Set To Quit

Former Coventry City striker Darren Huckerby looks likely to retire from football.

Currently with San Jose Earthquakes in America, Huckerby has a hip injury and needs and operation.

Speaking to the Eastern Daily Press, Huckerby who made 84 league appearances for City, scoring 28 goals from 1996-1999, said: "I've got to give it a chance to see how it is but I'm 99% sure that I am done. I have done everything I have wanted to."

His career has seen him play for Lincoln, Newcastle, Millwall, Coventry, Leeds, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Norwich City.
