Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has pulled off yet another coup by arranging a pre season home game against Worcester City on Sat 29th July KO 3pm.

Sphinx met Worcester City earlier this season in the FA Cup and although Sphinx were beaten, they gave a good account of themselves, hitting the bar and post in the first half.

The success Sphinx had this season has seen the club atrract excellent pre-season fixtures with games against Sutton Utd from the Midland Combination One and local Coventry Alliance side Brinklow as well as a game against the Conference North side.

Sphinx boss Luke Hopkins told the Sphinx website: " I am chuffed to bits to get the Worcester friendly. We gave them a good game in the FA Cup so this will be a real test early doors for the players.

"Sutton, we will play away in a fixture that I can use to run the rule over some trialists as well as first team players.

"We have a good relationship with Brinklow who we have helped out in the past as well as them helping us so it only seems right to keep that relationship on a good footing overall I am more than happy with the friendlies arranged."
