Galway United lead a pack of Irish clubs chasing Colin Hawkins who was released by Coventry City today.

The centre half joined City from Shelbourne and but suffered a bad injury which has seen him most of this season after impressing the City support last term.

Bray Wanderers, Derry City and Drogheda are all reported to be amongst Irish clubs showing an interest in the defender

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest appear likely to sign Dimi Konstantopolous on loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

The Greek keeper has disappeared from the pecking order following the loan capture of Kasper Schmeichel and with Andy Marshall and Danny Ireland getting new offers from City, he is expected to be allowed to leave, although, with the custodian still under contract, the Sky Blues may look for a fee.
