Holidays Delay City Youngsters Contract Signing

Whilst we understand that the Coventry Telegraph have column inches to fill on days when things are quiet, there is a simple reason as to why some of the young players offered deals by Coventry City have not signed them.

That reason is holidays or in the case of Shaun Jeffers and also out of contract Aron Gunnarsson - international duty, rather than any delaying tactics by agents which has been intimated in some circles.

The players have been encouraged to get their vacation out of the way as early as possible, so they can get themselves back into shape  in readiness for returning to pre-season on July 1st and the likes of Jordan Clarke etc who have been offered new deals by the Sky Blues are currently on holiday at a time specified by the manager Andy Thorn who is also currently on holiday in the Costa Del Sol.

As well as the the player, his representative and the manager, a contract needs to be completed and signed by the club secretary and the club staff at CCFC and clubs around the country are also encouraged to have their annual holidays in late May or in June.

When all the parties are back from their breaks, we're sure that we will see the young players completing their new deals.
