Rochdale manager Keith Hill has said that his side got nothing from one of their best performnces of the season.

Speaking about the 2-0 defeat at Coventry City, Hill said to the Press Association: "Today was one of the best performances we've had over the last six or seven games, and we got nothing from it.

"I thought we performed well today but we were negligent in front of goal. We had 19 attempts with only five on target and we've allowed them to score two very basic and sloppy goals.

"I thought we surprised them by the way we approached the game with our intensity and the way we were playing in midfield.

"We won our challenges and we were on the front foot. I was disappointed when we allowed them to score and it comes down to a basic error. You can't give a team like Coventry a goal lead."
