Have The FL Let Premier League B Teams Into The JPT?

One interesting tweet today is that according to the AFC Wimbledon Supporters Trust, the Football League have agreed to allow Premier League B teams into the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

This means that Coventry City could end up playing a team of Manchester United or Arsenal youngsters in the competition, who are unlikely to play at their first team's main ground, which has its final between Bristol City and Walsall later this month, next season.

This is from a Dons Trust Report -

"There was also discussion about that day’s Football League (FL) meeting which was understood to have authorised the FL executive to finalise proposals to allow Premier League ‘B’ teams to enter the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, with AFC Wimbledon being the only League Two club to vote against."

Richard Conway tweeted:

"Clarification on Premier League B teams competing in JP Trophy. Told agreement is conceptual and not formal proposal. It is still on agenda."
