Former Coventry City striker John Hartson could be the next manager of Scottish League Three side East Stirlingshire.

The perennial wooden spoonists of the Scottish League are having one of their best seasons for a while, but are still second bottom and are looking for Hartson to replace Gordon Wylde who left the manager's job at Firs Park last week.

Hartson, who failed to keep City in the top flight before being sold to Celtic is expected to announce on Tuesday if he wants the job which will be his first in management after retiring from playing.
