The youngster, who shot to first team promenance last season after good performances for City U18's, strained his hamstring playing for City Reserves in their 1-0 friendly victory over Hereford United on Wednesday.
The Nuneaton born midfielder started against Hartlepool United in the League Cup and made five substitute appearances last season.
