Good To Score but Disappointing Not To Win - Elliott

Coventry City forward Stephen Elliott has said that it was good to score for the Sky Blues on his home debut but he was disappointed that it was not the winning goal when Sheffield United equalised for a share of the spoils.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player's Nick Connoll, Elliott, one of the Sky Blues batch of summer signings, said:  "Personally for me it was obviously good to get the goal but it was disappointing not to then go on and win the game. That being said we've got some good positives to take into the game against Bury on Saturday.

"It took us a while to get going, we were a bit stop start in the first half and the gaffer said at half time that we needed a bit more urgency but as we go along we will get to know each other better and the performances will come.

"After taking the lead at home you want to see games out but it was not to be and we won't be getting too downhearted.

"It's a point on the board against one of the favourites and we won't beat ourselves up too much because we want to be in the right frame of mind for Saturday.
