Goals On Tuesday

Coventry City are still 14th in the table after their 2-1 win over Wolves. Birmingham top the table despite losing 1-0 at Norwich whose goal was scored by Darren Huckerby. Second place Derby County drew 1-1 at home to QPR.

At the oher end of the table, Southend moved out of the bottom three with a 1-0 over Burnley and Hull went into 19th place with a 2-1 win at Luton Town.

Sheffield Wednesday beat Colchester 2-0 with Preston beating Ipswich 1-0. The other games ended in draws.

In the bid to get promotion into the Championship, Bristol City remain in second place despite losing 3-2 at home to Bradford City. Millwall's hopes of a play-off spot remain alive despite being held 2-2 at home by Crewe. City legend Richard Shaw played the whole game for Willie Donachie's side.

Locally, Rugby Town are out of the Errea Cup at the Semi-Final stage. The Butlin Road based side were 3-0 up at half-time but allowed visitors Hemel Hempstead to score four times in the second half and book a place in the Final.

Ben Mackey was on target as Leamington beat Friar Lane and Epworth 4-0 at The New Windmill. Stratford Town continued with their winning ways which has lifted them to third, notching up a 2-0 win at Market Dreyton. Atherstone were held 1-1 by Quorn but Racing Club Warwick remain second bottom after a 1-0 home defeat by Boldmere St Michaels.

Coventry Sphinx are through to the Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Cup final with a 2-1 extra time win at Dudley Sports. They will face Dudley Town in the Final after the Black Country side beat Massey Ferguson 4-1.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood won 3-2 at Pilkington XXX.
