Frustrated I Haven't Made The Progress With Investors - Hoffman

Coventry City supporter Gary Hoffman has admitted his frustration at not being currently able to bring in the investment to the Sky Blues.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Mr Hoffman said;  “Clearly I am as disappointed as any other fan about where we have ended up but there was a certain inevitability about it, the seeds of which were sewn some while ago.

“I am not going to go into all the history now because people are bored with it but at some stage, if people want me to I will.

“The important thing to focus on now is what happens next because I am worried about the very survival of our club.

“I’m as frustrated as everyone else with the fact that I haven’t made the progress with investors that I had hoped to.

“Again, it is not worth going into all the history but it hasn’t been for the lack of trying.

“Everyone will appreciate what a moving target this has been and things have gone from bad to worse.

“I am prepared to spend as much time on this as it takes and will go anywhere to help make it happen.

“Of course I can’t promise anything will get done. The investors have not gone away despite being told to go away a few times!

“But, of course, when it became obvious that League One was a real possibility the proposition changed and they have been biding their time.

"I wish they hadn’t but that’s a reality.

“I have spoken to them again at length today since the unfortunate events on Saturday.

"They have requested more information, obviously about life in League One – some of which they already have – but they want clarity.

“They are also still adamant that the football club and stadium are joined at the hip and must be looked at together.”
