Former Sky Blue Sacked For Alleged Bullying

Former Coventry City player Mick McGuire has been sacked from his role as the PFA's Chief Executive after allegations of bullying.

McGuire, who joined City as a youngster and progressed to the first team and who has cousins still living on Coventry. left the employ of the Professional Footballers Association last week and boss Gordon Taylor has issued a statement saying: "I regrettably had no alternative but to summarily dismiss Mick McGuire for gross professional misconduct.

"As a trade union, the PFA can't condone bullying nor allow it to continue."
