Former Coventry City defender and loanee Ben Turner faces an FA misconduct charge for alleged racial abuse..
Turner is alleged to have used 'abusive and/or insulting words towards an opponent' in the 94th minute of Burton Albion's game with Brentford on December 10th.
In a statement, the Football Association said that "this breach of Rule E3(1) is an 'Aggravated Breach' as defined in Rule E3(2), as it included reference to ethnic origin and/or race and/or nationality."
Turner has denied this and has until next Wednesday to respond to the charge with Burton saying in a press statement: "Ben Turner strongly denies the charge and will contest it."
