The Northern Ireland international striker who is only a bit player at Sunderland has failed to agree terms with Coventry City regarding a permanent deal.
City also tried to get him on loan for the rest of the season but whilst Steve Bruce agreed, David Healy didn't and the deal now seems dead unless the 30 year old has a big change of heart.
