Former Coventry City loanee keeper and Assistant Manager Tim Flowers had his views on Chris Dunn sought by City before they purchased him.

Steve Ogrizovic spoke to the City supporting Flowers who is a goalkeeping coach at Northampton about Dunn and got rave reviews, according to the CT.

“Chris is another one who deserves his chance,” said Steve Ogrizovic.

“He is a young lad and good age for a goalkeeper and at 6ft 4 there won’t be many who will boss him around.

“We have monitored him as well and Tim Flowers was his coach last year so we had a good chat with him and Tim thinks he can step up and so do I.

“It is a great opportunity to come to a bigger club and play a higher grade of football, which is what every player is looking for, and we have got high hopes of him doing well here.”
