Former Coventry City players John Fleck and Leon Clarke both scored for Sheffield United in a 4-1 win in a local derby at Chesterfield.
Nolan had Chesterfield ahead in the second minute but in the second half, Freeman levelled in the 54th minute with John Fleck scoring in the 72nd minute, Billy Sharp a minute later and Leon Clarke in the 81st minute to see Sheffield United up to third in the table and Chesterfield rock bottom.
United went above Bolton Wanderers who lost 1-0 at Peterborough United.
