Five Years For Council Shares

Coventry City Council rep Barry Butterworth has said that the Council is not able to sell its shares in the Arena for five years.

Speaking at an ACL meeting, Mr Butterworth gave no indication as to when this five year period actually started but said that senior Council officials had met Mr Hopkins and his consortium.

The Arena is in line to stage more events. On Sunday April 15th, Coventry Jets American Football team will play the Madrid Bears (2.30pm kick off) at the Arena as well as another game against London Os on May 6th.

The CT Cup Final is scheduled for Monday April 30th with a possible Heinken Cup Rugby game also on the cards.
