Coventry City have completed their first signing of the season with the capture of Chris Dunn from Northampton Town.

The 23 year old Dunn is out of contract with The Cobblers, but Coventry have agreed to pay an undisclosed development fee for the young goal keeper.

Dunn moved to Northampton from the MK Dons Academy in  2005 and had made around 100 appearances for them.

Coventry manager Andy Thorn said: "I am absolutely delighted that we have signed Chris. I know for a fact that a Premier League club was interested in him but we have managed to get it done quickly."

"The chairman has worked really hard to get this done and I am really pleased. He's 6ft 4ins, he's a young boy and we've watched him for some time now and he is going to be a big asset."

"Like everyone else, he is coming here to compete for a place in the first team. We don't have reserves, everyone has a chance of getting their hands on the jersey and Chris will be no different. This is a great bit of business for the club."
