The Football Association has proposed changes to the structure of the Women's Premier League that Coventry City Ladies play in.

With existing WPL National Division clubs such as Coventry City, Leeds United and Cardiff City not part of the two division WPL set up, the FA are proposing that the National Division next season is scrapped and the likes of the Sky Blues play in either a Northern Division and Southern Division.

Then from 2014-2015 season, the FA are proposing that  The FA WPL Northern Division and the Midland and Northern Combination Leagues would form the Northern Championship* of three divisions and the same with the South.

These proposals are subject to agreement at the inaugural AGM of the Leagues, which Coventry City will be attending.
