Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson is still attracting interest. After Monday's story from the Daily Mail about Liverpool and Newcastle United wanting the former Manchester City player for a CEO, comes news that Dutch Second Division side FC Zwolle are claiming that Ray Ranson will take over their club.

"There is nothing in it whatsoever," said Ray Ranson to the CT after claims in Holland that there was more going on with former Zwolle boss Jan Everse's agent Henk Van Gingel and Jaap Stam, who were guests of the City Chairman at a game last year.

"I can't be involved in another club anyway and I think the connection is Jaap Staam and his business manager who came over to the Ricoh for a match as my guest some time ago.

"I was asked if there was anything I could do but it was just a conversation. I have not been to the club and I cannot get involved because you cannot own more than 10% in more than one club.

"We are keen to develop overseas connections with other clubs with a view to forging relationships and contacts but nothing more than that.
