Coventry City duo Dimi Konstantopolous and Wayne Andrews are both having operations for injuries sustained whilst loaned out by the Sky Blues.

The Greek keeper who was loaned to Nottingham Forest undergone surgery to mend a ruptured Achilles tendon whilst Wayne Andrews who has been released by the club, awaits a knee operation after a tackle in the 17th minute of his debut for Bristol Rovers.

Chris Coleman told the CT: "Dimi has had an operation on his Achilles and whilst it is not as bad as we first thought but he won't play for the rest of the season.

"He snapped a tendon in training at Forest and if they are going to go, they are going to go. "There is not a lot he can do with it for a while. "He had an operation on his throat and now he has got this, so he has had a bit of bad luck and it's been a tough time for him, to be fair."

Coleman than moved on to speak about Wayne Andrews, who is at the end of his City contract which wont be renewed and said: "Wayne's injury is not as bad as we first thought but it has put paid to what's left of his season. "He went to Bristol Rovers to impress to get a contract because he wasn't going to get one here, so it is a shame really.

"We were told at first that it was a bad medial tear but it is not as bad and he maybe doesn't need an operation. "But he wants one just for security for him and I can understand that because while he is still under contract here we can sort that out for him. "So he's erring on the safe side and I would probably have done the same myself."
