The first was that City were signing Dion Dublin today from local rivals Leicester City. Reid had attempted to sign the former and very unpopular City striker in midweek but the terms were rejected by Dublin who considers himself to still be Premiership material.
The second was a rumour that the City Board wanted Peter Reid to resign after the game against Plymouth and that a replacement was lined up and waiting to take over.
