Michael Doyle has come back into the frame for Saturday's game at Sunderland. Having been sent home following a bust up with Robert Page. Doyler turned out for the reserves yesterday and is set to be included in the squad to travel to Wearside.

Doyler had a good run around in the reserves and came through OK after a few days off so I would think he will come back into contention for Saturday's trip to Sunderland," said Adrian Heath to the CT. "Pagey came in for training for the first time today and we will monitor his situation with regards to his hand.

"Their relationship might be a bit frosty for a while but nine times out of ten players get on with it after an incident like this. They have had a mad moment and they have to put it behind them and treat each other with respect.

"We are talking about two extremely committed players here and if I was to ask the supporters which players at the club they felt were the most passionate characters, I am sure they would probably say them.

"It might be difficult for people outside the confines of the dressing room to understand the situation because fights don't tend to happen in other areas of working life. "I am not saying it is a regular occurrence in football, but it is not the first time something like this has happened - I have lost count the amount of times I have seen it happen in my career."

"From my point of view it was a big gamble because I have got to win some games to try to get myself the manager's job and to be without those two was the last thing I needed. "But hopefully we can all put it behind us and move forward now."

Both players are expected to be fined.
