Dowie In Keeper Search

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie is stepping up his search for another goalkeeper. "Andy Marshall has another year on his contract, Aaron Lee-Barrett has been released and Luke Steele will go back to West Brom at the end of the season so we obviously need another keeper," said Dowie to the CT.

"Andy has done very well for me, particularly in the games against Southampton and Wolves. In the last few games he perhaps hasn't been quite on his best form, but that applies to everybody - for one reason or another we haven't been able to achieve those standards we had been setting in the early stages of my tenure here.

"Andy is a great lad, he works very hard in training, and I think he has improved under Tim Flowers. But he knows that it is up to him to hold on to his place by maintaining peak form. And that's the same for every player here. I want fierce competition in all areas."
