Coventry City's new keeper Dimitrious Konstantopoulos has been talking about his move to our historic city. Said the Greek who joined on a free transfer from Hartlepool United to the CT: "I'm really delighted to sign for Coventry because it is a club with a hugh history and massive fanbase.

"When you walk into a stadium like the Ricoh Arena, you just can't fail to be impressed. It is fit for any Premiership club and I don't see any reason why Coventry can't get there. I know it is going to be a challenge for me but I am going into it really positive.

"Obviously,I was linked with the club a year ago but it didn't work out for me then,so I am pleased that it has happened for me now. It is probably better for me that it's happened this season because I am out of contract.

The keeper will face a battle with Andy Marshall for the number one shirt and Dimi knows that gaining a regular place ahead of the Player Of The Year will be a hard task. He added: "Competition keeps you on your toes. Andy had a great season so I know it's not going to be easy but I need to prove I am good enough to play at this level.

"I have to give it my best shot. These are exciting times as I am really looking forward to playing here. I am proud of my record last season and I hope I can do the same for Coventry."
