Coventry City defender Martin Cranie was delighted with his goal and City's victory against Sheffield United.

Cranie who played at right back told the Club Website: "Everyone knows what a tough side Sheffield United are so we were all delighted to have come away with all the points.

"With the goal I was buzzing to be honest. The last goal I scored was for the Under 21s in the summer and I can't really tell you how many professional goals I've scored so obviously I was really pleased to get one.

"We had a good first half against Bristol City on Saturday so to perform like we did for 90 minutes was brilliant.

"We've had a couple of disappointing results of late so to get three points against Sheffield United is defintely something we can take into the game against Preston on Saturday."
