Coventry City Council Leader Re-elected

Coventry City Council leader Ann Lucas was re-elected at the Coventry City Council elections.

City supporting Ann Lucas, who has been heavily embroiled in the Ricoh Arena dispute with Coventry City FC and had met SISU boss Joy Seppala in London, stood in the Holbrook Ward and polled 1962 votes

Brian Patton, who stood on behalf of the Get Cov Back To The Ricoh campaign group polled 235 votes.

Ironically, the results was announced at the Ricoh Arena with Martin Reeves, a former Director of Arena Coventry Limited, the presiding officer. 

Former Coventry City Council leader and Coventry City supporter John Mutton was re-elected to the Binley and Willenhall ward. He was re-elected for the ninth consective time, polling 1619 votes. 

There was no change in the overall Council with Labour again in charge until the next election.
