The club have issued for the following statement:
"Coventry City Football Club have sold out of the tickets released for general sale for Friday's match with Gillingham at the Ricoh Arena.
Initially, around 15,000 tickets were released for general sale and they have been snapped up after phenomenal interest.
A further 2,200 Supporters have also purchased or transferred across their Season Tickets for the club's return to the Ricoh Arena.
The club would urge any current Season Ticket holders who purchased before the club's return to the Ricoh to make sure they have transferred it across to their seat at the Ricoh.
There are still around 4,000 Season Ticket holders from the 2012/13 season who are yet to renew or buy Gillingham tickets. Those seats will be released for sale on the day of the Gillingham game but the club would ask any supporters who held 12/13 Season Tickets to email info@ccfc.co.uk to let the club know if they intend to attend the Gillingham game and, if not, allow them to be released for other supporters.
The club shop will be open between 10.30am and 4.30pm on Sunday. Between 10.30am and 12.30pm, fans will be able to purchase Season Tickets or Gillingham tickets if they were 12/13 Season Ticket holders. Fans who bought Season Tickets for Sixfields will be able to transfer them over to the Ricoh Arena at these times too.
Further tickets may become available in the South Stand next week but that is subject to police and safety approval."
