City Up To Eighth

Coventry City are up to eighth in the League Two table after their 1-0 win against bottom side Port Vale at the Ricoh Arena this afternoon.

Mark Robins side now have ten points from six matches and are behind Barnet who occupy the last play-off place and who beat Cambridge united 3-1 on goal difference.

Exeter City still top the table thanks to a 3-1 win at Forest Green Rovers and the Grecians lead the table by three points from Accrington who beat Carlisle United 3-0.

Third are Notts County who beat sixth placed Wycombe 2-0 with Crewe who beat Chesterfield 5-1 in fourth, and Stevenage who lost 2-1 at home to Lincoln City in fifth place.

Amongst the former City players on target were:

Romain Vincelot who scored for Bradford City in a 3-1 win at Peterborough.

Former City defender Nathan Cameron scored in the 67th minute of Bury's 3-2 defeat at Rotherham United.
