City Up A Place

Coventry City have moved up a place to 20th in the Championship after earning a 0-0 draw against Southampton at St Marys this afternoon.

Leicester City were the day's losers, being beaten 2-0 at home by Hull City who have moved up to third in the table and are now only three points behind leaders Stoke.

Sheffield Wednesday looked to be heading out of the bottom three but in the last minute of the game at Hillsborough, Crystal Palace equalised through Lawrence to get a 2-2 draw.

The Owls have 44 points, one less than the Sky Blues, but have a game in hand on City. Below them are Scunthorpe and Colchester.

The U's look all but relegated after a 5-1 defeat at Norwich City. Dion Dublin scored the fifth goal for the Canaries. Scunthorpe are six points behind Sheffield Wednesday after a 2-1 home defeat by Ipswich Town. Jack Cork, who scored against City in both games for Scunthorpe this season was sent off in the 51st minute in a spat with Pablo Counago.

Stoke City still top the league despite only drawing 1-1 at home to Blackpool. Second remain Bristol City. The Robins lost 2-1 at rivals Cardiff City with former Sky Blue Dele Adebola scoring for Gary Johnson's side.

Watford drew 1-1 at Plymouth, a result which keeps both sides in the Play-off places.

Preston's good run of home form saw a 2-1 win in the Lancashire derby against Burnley whilst Sheffield United won 1-0 at Barnsley and Wolves drew 3-3 with QPR.

In League One, Baz Savage scored for Millwall in a 1-1 draw at Oldham. Craig Reid was a sub for Cheltenham and helped the Robins earn a 1-1 draw at Luton Town.
