Posh 8-2 Combined City Vets & Supporters Team

Coventry Vets joined forces with City Supporters team to take on Posh in a Internet League match at Coundon Park.

The match kicked off with Posh having the early play.

The home side had a number of early chances and took the lead in the 10th minute, following a corner.

A third came after a good passing play giving Posh a three nil lead after twenty five minutes.

Heads did not drop and the Sky Blues had a 20 minute spell of pressure before the half time whistle.

We should have scored more during this period but only pulled one back.

In the second half and a change of Ref posh scored three offside goals. The Ref refused to call any offsides as we didn't have a referee's assistant.
With heads dropping and tire legs a number of substitutions were made.
This steadied the ship but the Sky Blues found themselves 8-1 down. In a repeat of the first half the last 10 minutes were all Cov.
The sky blues produced the best move of the game to finish the game 8-2.

So do you want to wear the sky blue shirt?
If you are over 35 & think you can tackle like Keough, save like Murphy, score like Platt or pass like Norwood...Nows your chance to prove it and join the CCFC supporters veterans side. We will be playing against other supporters clubs around the country or local Coventry teams.
If there's enough interest we will set up an over 45 side.
Although the ability to score 30 goals a season will be a bonus as long as you can tie your own boots up, support Cov and just want a bit of a kick around you are in!

So drop me an email if you are available for any future Cov game home or away. We will also be playing local teams over the summer.
Everyone will get to play as it's roll on and off subs.
Play up sky blues
